Buffy Taylor, known by her artist name ~buffy, is the creative force behind Cope Aesthetic, a dynamic art studio based in Pittsboro, Chatham County, North Carolina.

In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts concentrating in Visual Communications while minoring in Information Systems & Art Studio from Framingham State University.

In 2012 she honed her craft during a transformative study abroad experience at Griffith University, Queensland College of Art, South Bank, Brisbane, QLD, Australia. ​

Below are some of her photographs from Australia, and a trip to New Zealand during that semester.

Today, she is a local, regional, national, and international traveling muralist specializing in large-scale public and residential murals, digital design for wraps, custom sneaker art, bespoke clothing, and hand-painted accessories.

Driven by a desire to celebrate diversity and forge lasting connections within communities, Buffy infuses each artwork with elements that honor the essence of shared experiences and cultural richness or speaks to personal narratives that resonate deeply with viewers.

Whether installing vibrant murals on city walls and streets or customizing sneakers to showcase individual stories, her work transcends conventional boundaries, evoking a sense of wonder and admiration from audiences worldwide.

​Through Cope Aesthetic, she invites others to join her in a journey of artistic exploration, where with every brushstroke, she endeavors to capture the vibrancy of the communities she serves, becoming a testament to its spirit, leaving an indelible mark on hearts and minds alike.
